After a four-year hiatus, the Charleston Colonials are making a comeback in the USPHL, and they're ready to provide young talent with the opportunity to develop into future college athletes. Under the guidance of Matt Reid and his dedicated staff, the program aims to not only promote the team and the local area but also prepare players for success at the collegiate level. A former South Carolina Stingrays player, Matt Reid developed a deep affection for Charleston and now considers it home. Although he has played in Europe and many US leagues, he always wanted to return to Charleston. So, he eagerly seized the opportunity to join the Colonials' rebirth and expand his Reider Hockey group there. Coach Reid's comprehensive approach to coaching both the player and the game has enabled him to develop numerous successful top-tier talents who have progressed to play in various Division 1 schools and subsequently been drafted into the NHL.

"The team's focus on player development will set them apart, as they prioritize honing the skills and abilities of each athlete both on and off the ice." Reid said. Through rigorous training sessions, competitive gameplay, and mentorship programs, the Charleston Colonials offer a comprehensive approach to nurturing talent and instilling values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. For young hockey players with aspirations of competing at the college level, the Charleston Colonials program serves as an invaluable steppingstone towards achieving their goals. By providing a supportive and challenging environment, players have the opportunity to showcase their abilities, receive guidance on the college recruitment process, and ultimately position themselves for success in their athletic and academic endeavors. As the team gears up for their return to the ice, now is the perfect time to get involved with the Charleston Colonials program.
